EA decision call signup list

Turns out international students get them by email on the 15...

No internationals are e-mailed on Monday the 13th.

entropicgirl-

How many hours away are you? I can get to Stanford in about three and a half, but I don't have any realastic hopes that it will get here on Saturday -- hopefully Monday.

EVERYONE was asking me at school today...the worst part is gonna be having to go to school on Monday before the mail comes.

-Ender

Everyone who is on come on the the Stanford SCEA Aol chatroom. Invite yourself on AIM. Right now, it's 7:28 EST. We can vent our frustration there!

Ender and others,

Bad news. They're staggering their mailings geographically, so that they're mailing all of the East Coast packages first, and the Californian packages last (they didn't mail all of the letters today like we had thought, only some of them!).

I just got off the phone and the woman told me that their goal was to have EVERYONE recieve their letters on the 15th. And, like everyone else, she told me that I could call on the 16th.....

Damn.

Wow that is bad news...

That doesn't even really make sense. What is the point of having all the letters reach applicants on the same day? As long as all the decisions are made, why not just mail them all off today? If the Cali packages come a day early, so what?

-Ender

Living in Arizona, I'm with you man.... tradition, I suppose?

hmmm..yea EVERYONE (even people I don't know) was asking me about it. I don't know how everyone knows I only told a couple of people I applied. But, I had an awesome day for the first time in 2 months. Everyone was so supportive, even people who I hardly know. I thought everyone wanted to know about me so they could get a feel for what other decisions would be like. But, I have some awesome friends and lots of hugs!

As such I called the admissions and talked to some chick who seemed cool enough and made my plea to hear my decsion today because today was sooo good, and if I ever I had a chance I would need the decision today...at least she didn't hang up! HA!

Too bad we can't get decisions now...I'm in such a chill mood...

LOL meao, what did she say after your plea? Sounds convincing to me! ;)

Check out Stanford's letter at www.admissions.stanford.edu/SCEA_decisions.html

Good link, flipchick :)

So we'll receive decisions during the course of next week. We'll just have to be patient, then.

haha...she just started laughing at me! And then I was like "WAIT! I mean...SORRY! Because of this stupid call I'll tell everyone I know not to bother you!!!!...But...Are you sure there's no way?" As if admissions doesn't already think I'm a dumbass...

That is pretty funny. If I were her, I would have told you.

that link didnt work for me. what did it say?

Go to the Stanford website, then navigate to the Undergraduate Admissions page, and there will be a link in a box on the right side.

-Ender

Argh, I hope they didn't stagger it. Why would they? It makes no sense to have everyone receive it at the same time.

The letter from the admissions office suggests that they were not staggered as previously stated. Seriously, why would they do that? It actually makes more sense for them to send them out at the same time. Anyways, they were mailed today in the afternoon. Since I live about...oh, a minute from Stanford maybe, I should be getting it on Saturday (that would suck because my parents would get it first, I'll be gone during the day) or Monday.

BTW, I called today at about 12:30 pm, and they said we should get the mail "by the 16th." Nothing new, but I do wanna let you guys know I called = )

Good luck!

I agree, the staggered thing would suck. The woman on the phone was very clear about it though.. :(

FWIW, the woman I talked to was the same one who made the recording that you hear when you first call... she's answered the phone 2 out of the 3 times I've called, too.

She seems really nice, but won't give out decisions....
