How do we access our VIP account once we have been admitted?

Accepted into the Moore School of Business!

To get to your VIP account, you have to go to the website and set up your account. The link will be on the right side of the page. To activate it you need your USC ID number which is your SS. Once you enter that and your legal name and birthday, they’ll email your PID and you should be able to login.

Just accepted to Moore School of Business, Finance!
3.0 GPA
1300 SAT

Anyone else majoring in Finance?

Ya, thats how my son found out at a couple of colleges (last year). One of them he could log into and was listed as being accepted, then he tried it again and the acceptance message was gone. At 5pm that day (the official notification time) the message was back up.

I’d be pretty confident he was accepted.

Thats definately a good sign. I think that three of the four colleges that my son applied to last year had some sort of a hint on the outside of the envelope. I assume thats so that parents don’t rip open the envelope first.

Even with the acceptance letter that didn’t have any hints, we kinda knew because it came a few days early. I would assume that they wouldn’t bother to mail rejection letters early.

Just something that might be of interest to some of you guys, but if you have marching band experiance, membership in the Carolina Marching Band AUTOMATICALLY gives you an OOS tuition waiver (plus a small scholarship).

Accepted in NJ! Hooray! Happy Holidays to all :)

Congratulations Nova!

And also congratulations to all those accepted!

No word in Boston area yet! No mail today at all…wonder if the mailman is taking a break!
My son is in at Pitt, C of C and U Mass Amherst so far…jealous you all heard. I think this would be a good fit for us. I loved the campus.

accepted to school of nursing!

Congrats to all who got in! My son received his acceptance letter today, and USC Columbia is his number one choice - however, he will be a Music Major so he still has to audition in February. Being from FL, we can’t afford the OOS tuition, so it is imperative he receive a decent music scholarship…he’s a bright kid, but not high enough to qualify for the honors and academic scholarships. He also got accepted to USF, UCF, Stetson, and FSU…but I know how much he wants USC, keeping my fingers crossed he nails the audition and they are generous with some help!

Honors college letter came today!

@StoneMagic If your son is a music major of the band-sorts, I know that marching band is required for three out of four years for music majors. Therefore, by default your son would get close to in-state tuition and a small scholarship on top of that. :)

Congrats to all! I hope my daughter is in your shoes next year!

@AU Girl - thanks for the 4-1-1 on marching band! If I’m being honest, he isn’t big on marching band, he’s totally in to Symphony and Jazz…however, he was in Marching for 4 years of HS. If that helps lower tuition and gives him a scholarship, I’m all for it - though I may wait to spring that one on him since I’m not sure how he will react. Do you know if that is mentioned on the School of Music site any where?

@StoneMagic

I have no idea where exactly the stated requirements are for music majors that say they have to participate in the Marching Band. As a UBand member, I hear lots of complaints from music majors about having to do Marching Band for three out of four years. I suppose it probably depends on what type of major you are, but I don’t know much. Imagep would be much more helpful with that information, because his son is a music major here.

But I did find this information on the marching band: [University of South Carolina Bands](http://carolinaband.org/athleticbands/carolinaband/)

For what it’s worth, being in the marching band definitely has its perks. They get to go to all of the homes games and almost every away game. (They split the really far away games between the band, so half go to one and half might go to the other.) They also get to go to the bowl game. The kids in the band are all really close and it’s a nice little community. It’s a great way to make friends. So don’t let him completely rule it out!

Personally, I don’t have the time commitment for it and I didn’t march in high school, because my high school didn’t have a marching band, so I just did UBand. But if your son is a music major, marching band would probably be good. :)

Just wondering if anyone had gotten the McNair Fex Ex invite. From earlier posts it looks like they found out on Jan. 26th?
