EA Decisions online

It looks as though the State EA decisions are coming out early.......

Check the application status if you've applied early.

I didnt get in but I didnt get refused. They will erview me in March and they want to check my grades at mid-year. What do you think? Do I have a chance?

martinphill,

You have a chance or they would have turned you down outright. Beyond that it’s hard to say.

martinphill what are your stats?

Here are my stats:
SAT 1260
WGPA 4.86
Florida

Mastachief, SAT=1560 (2400). ACT= 22. GPA UW=3.1 W= 4.1. Class rank 90 out of 300. I will of taken 8 AP courses in HS. I am varsity sports all conference and State qualifier for golf. I am Latino.
I had a real bad Sophomore year that has brought down my GPA. My junior year was about 4.5 weighted. In my senior year I am heading in the same direction.

martinphill, since you didn’t get denied, im guessing that they are waiting for your first semester grades before they make a decision. If you do really good this semester, you definately have a chance of getting in.

What does it mean pending(waiting)…it says nothing about looking at my grades is march…martin where did you see this?

My online application status says this…

Application Status: Pending (waiting)

Please refer to this online letter for more information.

The online letter says this…

We have received your application and supporting credentials and we appreciate your interest in NC State
University. As a result of the tremendous competition for admission to this fall’s freshman class, we are not yet able to give
you a final decision. We will review your application again during Final Review, and a decision will be made by the end of
March.
If you retake the SAT or ACT by January, you should have those scores sent to us electronically by the testing
service. We will contact you by email in January with instructions for reporting your first semester senior grades through
your WolfPAW account.
I fully understand how important our decision is to you, and how anxious you and your family will be until a final
decision is reached. Please know that we will give your application full consideration and appreciate your continued
patience and interest in NC State University.

dang mine doesnt have a letter attached so i dont know if that is better or worse… i guess ill check on Wednesday to see…also what majors did you apply too?

I actually looked online and these are the types of status you can have…

In Progress (not yet submitted)
Submitted (not yet reviewed by our staff for completeness)*
Incomplete (being held because something is missing)*
Review (being reviewed by another office on campus)
Pending (waiting)
Deferred to Final Review
Pending (waiting) - see linked letter for details
Decision (Denied, Accepted, Accepted - Confirmed)

Which is best? Pending or Deffered?

First year college

yea i have the pending(waiting) but no letter attached…so do you think this means ill get denied or get in? I was also wondering the same thing, what you got seems like the same thing as being deffered. I dont see a difference.

I dont get it…

mine says pending (waiting) - see linked letter for details. What does this mean? So I will have to send my first semester grades and I won’t find out until March?

Thats how I interpret it…

I would think just plain “pending” is better than the communication which asks for more reports of grades and scores. But it’s just an opinion.

Maybe.
I mailed my schools guidance and he said they have seen messages like mine before. NCS want to see more. I have to keep my grades up.
I suppose thats logical really…

Mine says “Pending (Waiting)” with the same letter that’s quoted earlier. I’m hoping that “Pending (Waiting)” is the default after your application has been reviewed. For what it’s worth: Instate, ACT: 30, WGPA: 4.29, Rank: 6/47, Statistics (1st), Economics (2nd).

I mean, if I’ve been deferred, shouldn’t my status say “Deferred to Final review” instead of “Pending (Waiting)”?

With an ACT 0f 30 the question why arent you in?
What major did you apply for?
