So last year, I notice that decisions were released on January 5th. However, most people say that usually decisions do not come out until right nesar the 15th. ANy word for this year?

Last year were the first posted online, then mail or mail first? and i havent heard anything

EA decisions were released on the 14th or 15th last year. They sent me an email that had a link attached were your decision is posted. The letter did not come in the mail for a little while after.

Interesting - the reason I said they came out early last year was that I checked last year’s postings from this site and definately people found out on line by checking the reference number on Jan. 5th. They may have posted it on the site but not notified people until the 14th or 15th. I guess she will just continue to check the website until they hear! Good luck.

momofa12 u r right decisions were online last year 1/5 so it should be soon…has anyone checked their status lately? last year people reported getting an email.

last year got it online jan 3, letter came dated 4th. just checked this morning. nothing.

We got an email today saying that we will get another email when the decisions are posted online. The next email will provide a special PIN number that provides access to that online decision. Hopefully, this means it is coming soon!

DD got a phone call from JMU this afternoon telling her that she has been accepted.

They told her it would be posted on-line later this week.

same here! the personal phone call was a nice touch!

Congratulations! Interesting that they called after sending out the e-mail instructions detaiing how notifications would occur. My daughter has been checking her e-mail every five minutes looking for a decision. Now she will be checking our voicemail as well.

My daughter wasn’t home when the JMU call came in this evening. They were not allowed to leave a message. I am hoping that she was accepted.

Ok my brother answered and I was sleeping. They just told him decisions would be out soon. I’m freaking out…Are they only calling people who were accepted??? Or everyone??

^ It would seem to me like a complete waste of time and money to call people who weren’t accepted. What would be the point? They have no interest in that group of kids any more.

And who would want to make that call, LOL. I’d feel mighty sorry for that poor person. No work-study job is worth having to dash a kid’s hopes and dreams.

what was there #?!

Do you mean their phone number?

It had a 540 area code (which encompasses Harrisonburg), and my Caller ID identified it as “U J”.

when they said decision would be out soon do they mean like hours or days?

^ They told my D “later this week”.

Urgh!!! DD was seeing posts from friends saying they got a call. JUST saw that we all missed a 8:45pm call from JMU!!! Ack!!!

Has this ever happened before? Calling students about their acceptance?.. never heard this was possible

I was out when my fam got the call does anybody know if they mentioned scholarships or anything?
