I’m just listening to Botten Anna and playing Nethack to reaffirm my identity; psh, the possibility of getting rejected to either of the great 'tutes doesn’t mean my nerd-ego will be tarnished…

…dammit, this isn’t working.

…dammit, this isn’t working.

i just got home… and i got into u of c too!

I really hope that this string of good luck with UChicago decisions here on the MIT board carries over to Saturday.

If not, I think it should be really interesting to chart the relationship between the two. Hmmm…

I’m stats whore, I admit it, ok?

wow good luck guys! i’m applying next year to MIT EA, hopefully, unless i fail all my classes. not that i will get in or anything.

ye mit ea will definitely not be as easy as chicago, but lets hope for the best and a good number of CC admits! =)

montagne and jags what schools do you guys go to in NJ? i go to wwp north.

Jackson…On a completely unrelated note, although it was my safety school, it felt sooooo great to get accepted to Rutgers, taking a little of the pressure/stress off…and although I probably won’t enroll there, it was 100% worth it to apply even if just to give me a vote of confidence

P.S - Congratulations to everyone who got into Chicago! As I alluded to earlier, it’s gotta feel good to at least know someone wants you (not meant in a negative way at all)

good job everyone that got into uchicago!! lol :)

:( Me no like Caltech decision haha

Hey everyone,

After lurking around here for awhile, I now feel compelled to make a CC account and introduce myself. So yeah, uh, hi. I’m also a MIT ED applicant. So nervous. It helps though that I have a swim meet all afternoon Friday (we get home at midnight) so hopefully that will take my mind off things sufficiently and allow me to sleep until close to noon. Anyways, good luck everyone! And congrats on everyone who has gotten the “big envelope” so far! Talk to you all later.

By the way, shmor/ducktape I love your blog.

1 day, 17 hours, 3 minutes and 12 seconds

I WISH I KNEW ABOUT UCHICAGO.

The website isn’t working for me, though.
(You can find me freaking out on the UChicago forum at this very moment!)

@SpicyChipmunk- haha, thanks. Glad to know you people like it. Makes the 10 minutes I spend on it slightly more worthwhile. ;)

Oh thanks SpicyChipmunk. Just ignore me and my blog. Im not important at all :-p.

omar-abu.blogspot.com

I hope we are seriously not getting into a war of whose blog is more popular. I honestly don’t care.

To be perfectly honest, though, I was just about to say check my blog because I updated it with my fortune cookie wisdom from about 20 minutes ago. So… sorry about that.

On a new topic, anyone else get into UChicago?

YOURE GOING DOWN! Haha i was just joking. I wasnt serious. So no worries
I didnt apply to chicago.

EDIT: I also hope you dont mind if I also post that click, click etc video on my blog because it was a really neat video.

Not at all.

ditto on congrats to everyone who got into Chicago! :)

but i am new to this thread! i haven’t visited CC recently, but this week has been superstressful because EA decisions come out on saturday, and i wanted to know how many people were in the same boat as i am… this thread makes me more nervous than i already am, because i stand in awe of all your academic abilities!

when i submitted my MIT application, i was a little too caught up in things and forgot some very minor details (like two years’ worth of AMC’s- not that I did considerably well, but I had come close to qualifying for the AIME. oh and for a summer activitiy i did, i accidentally put 9 hours instead of 40 hours a week… i don’t know how).
confession: MIT hadn’t been my top choice, but since then i’ve read the blogs so much that i just really really really want to go now.

ahhhh :D

I can only hope that the UChi luck can carry over for MIT this Saturday, but I can’t help feel pessimistic. I think UChicago admitted over half of the 2012 class EA this time around, but MIT only admits a third. Plus, if you look at their numbers, only about 350 are admitted out of 4000 applicants.

Due to my lack of sunshine, rainbows, and happy thoughts, I won’t post anymore on this thread.

Last year 390 were admitted, if it makes you feel any better. :-/

And once., I’m in the same boat as you; originally, I had no first choice. Then along came MIT blogs, and… i <3 MIT. :)
