<p>MIT’s been my first choice since, uh, 7th grade. UChicago is a close second.</p>

you must think me an impostor: i hadn’t thought about MIT until last year when I went to an info session.
it made me believe that i can be smart academically and have FUN (nerdy fun, of course, but it’s still awesome :D)</p>
<p>if i get in, i’m taking away two applications that i wanted to fall back on with. (if that made any sense)</p>
<p>i looked online for MIT EA stats, and i thought, “i totally picked the wrong school to do EA for,” since it doesn’t really improve the acceptance rate any, i believe. but it’ll be so nice to know.</p>
<p>i’m hoping to be deferred at the very least, though getting accepted would be SO AWESOME</p>

<p>@ ducktape – I read the entry. NICE! I went with my dad, and after the information session, HE was totally in love with MIT. And I was just a little more intrigued… As far as having researching backgrounds and doing breakthrough work in science to make MIT believe that I belong there, I’ve failed, but reading the blog just makes me think that I’d have an amazing time. Did you read the recent one about hacks and games all over campus? I’d love to do that. It doesn’t seem like the kids at other schools have 1/2 the fun…</p>

<p>Usually that’s what happens (from the past years). But I am going to stop and say that I’m just speculating, like all of you.</p>
<p>I was the person that Ben was referring to in his comment about decisions not being released on the ninth, since I observed that they’ve been out on 12/9 for the last two years. </p>
<p>So, I’m not going to start another rumor =p</p>
<p>And anyways, on the 15th, you’ll know whether or not you’ll have a lot to look forward to, in either case.</p>
