any chance ea decisions will come before jan 15th? i cant wait any longer...

My other ones came early, including another SUNY... But idk.

wait is it supposed to be after jan 15 or b4 that u receive the stuff in the mail?

I think they need to mail it by Jan 15 at the latest. It should be before that though, or I would hope so.

you should have it at the latest on the 15th. Anyone know if Bing defers EA for regular decision or is just an accept/reject?

They definitely defer. I think that decisions will be mailed from Bing on the 15th because if what there saying is correct (30% increase in EA applications) than they probably need all the time they are able to get to review applications. Good luck to everyone.

i just find someone who got accepted to binghamton yesterday. I'm not sure if it was someone who applied EA or not, but i can find out.

Letsgo23-That would be extremely helpful if you could find that out as well as a ball park of their stats. Thank you.

The Binghamton 2013 facebook page has a probably real person saying she got accepted yesterday.

i assume these people applied ea?

Hmm....what do you think? Athlete? Or do you think that they mailed a batch of letters this past Monday?

I see that on the facebook group page. She either applied EA or is an athlete. Or she is lying but I doubt that.

im nervous now. i want to go home and see if i got a letter

i actually know two people that got in. One was an athlete. The other was a music major. Both find out about a month or little longer ago.

I live 45 min from Bing and didn't get anything yet. Maybe today, but I am extremely skeptical seeing as if one calls the admissions office a recording says that all decisions will be mailed ON the 15th. I would be more inclined to believe this if the recording said BY the 15th because that leaves the possibility open of an earlier mailing.

i understand why the athlete found out so early but why the music major?

That is unusual but he/she must be an exceptional musician. I know a few kids in my school and they applied to some private schools and were told unofficially by the music program director of their acceptances.

Also, that girl on facebook, I believe is out of state-someone verify that??? So that could be a possible explanation.

dosent matter if that girl is out of state or not..i am out of state and still have not heard...

anyone have a solid answer as to whether the decisions should be arriving before or after the 15th? I hope it's before lol

Binghamton Admissions said quite clearly that decisions will be mailed ON the 15th, which is a THURSDAY. Assuming you are in-state, you would likely receive your decision on either Saturday, January 17th, or on Monday, January 19th.*

Yes, I know many of us have SUNY Binghamton University as our #1 choice, and are urgently rushing home daily to check our mailboxes in the hopes of an acceptance letter. For 99.999% of applicants, that won't happen until the above dates. Relax! :)

*This assumes: USPS First-class mail, an envelope weighing no more than 3 ounces (can be "standard" rejection/defer envelope or "larger" acceptance envelope), and that Binghamton University "pre-sorts" their mail (which they do). If the mail is sent out TOO LATE on January 15th, USPS won't be able to do anything with it until the following business day, meaning that most of us wouldn't get it until after the weekend - as late as Wednesday for those of us in-state.
