what type of envelope was it toxage?

My daughter definitely received a somewhat random phone call before Christmas advising her that she had been accepted. It's been quite awhile and haven't had any letter but she did get an email about tickets for basketball games.

So......I can only conclude that if they can't get letters out to those that they've already verbally committed then they must be completely overwhelmed.

No surprise as the school has an excellent academic reputation. My daughter lives in PA....and is actually less expensive OOS then Penn State is instate.

Deferred.

GPA-94.5
All honors and AP classes
1220/1600
Very good EC's, well-rounded student (concert band, jazz band, varsity athlete, etc.), OK community service (nothing special but I do have a good amount) and I hold one job during the school year, 2 during the summer and 3 for two weeks out of the summer.
Essay was good not amazing
Recommendations were extremely good--saw English teacher's and my GC said all others were very nice and well written

I am confident my SAT/ACT score put me out of consideration for EA but I am hoping that my demonstrated interest and "well-roundedness"-if that's even a word-will help me for RD. Congrats for everyone who was accepted and good lucks for deferrals and no letters :)
