EA decisions???

Will they really make me, oops I mean my D wait until 2/1? Did ED folks find out through email or snailmail first? Did you find out on the day they said you would or a little teeny bit early?

I am obsessing over this one. Don't know why, but I am. Maybe it's because I would really like too have that Margarita w/ ignatius and bbalfrasier and missiepie and I am dying to know if I'll even get the chance.

Anyway, I'm so glad I can obsess with you guys and not drive anyone else crazy.

Yikes! Now I really know things are different than 2 years ago. I just checked an old post of mine and D got her EA acceptance on 12/9/06. The wait must be awful (but hopefully worth it). The e-mail acceptance was followed by the packet w/merit and fin. aid, but maybe everything will be online for you guys.

Good Luck to all.

thanks gloworm and may I just say that I am jealous that you learned so early! Sending out a blanket email on the first makes sense since they have no control over the USPS but this last week is killing me. I do hope that it is worth it!

I'm waiting for that margarita with you too, my friend. D applied ED and was told she would find out BY December 1; she got her "yes" email the Friday before Thanksgiving followed by a nice fat envelope in the mail early the next week. That said, I suspect there was some personal incentive on the part of the admissions crew to offload some of the files on their desk and enjoy a bit of their holiday. So for EA, there isn't that particular holiday carrot dangling in front of them. If it were me, I would just keep checking emails every, oh, half hour or so for the next few days. :-) Seriously, I really how you get some good news soon!

Trinity 360 here we come!!! WhooooooooooooooHoooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! Both girls are in Doing the Happy Dance!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else?????

Son applied EA and just got his acceptance email.

Congrats to all, isn't it great to finally get the good news?

My d also in, still planning to attend Univ of South Carolina though....

:) Just got the acceptance email. :)

Congrats to those who got in, sympathies to those who didn't. History mom, glad you didn't have to wait until 2/1!

I hope some of your kids will end up at TU, but I know some have already decided on other schools. D really took her time and only put the deposit in on the last day. She had lots of great choices and really thought everything through.

When is TiF? I may be on campus.

TiF was on January 24th.

Yes, I realized that too late. I see 360 has two dates. It should be fun.

congrats to all those who got in.....
has any international applicant heard from trinity??

Thanks for the congrats! Funny thing TwinK, who had previously been luke warm actually became very excited at her acceptance who knows. It's just so nice to have options!

Adding my son to the list of admits. He visited in Dec., so didn't go to Tif. But, he'll try to make the 360 in March. As I posted on another thread, much will depend upon merit aid, if any.
If anyone feels like sharing, I'd be interested in the stats of the kids who have received merit money.

It's here... fat envelope in the mail today. It's really clever! You'll see what I mean when you get it. Plus, merit award was included : )

Congrats to all our kids! And three cheers to all those parents on CC who I am sure helped us all to get to this point!

Oh that is good news cpq1xtbu! Are you in TX? My girls both like clever so that may help sway them.

Yeah for the fat envelope! And yes, it is clever. My D was in ED, but I've been checking the EA group and others to see which of MY buddies will be leaning towards San Antonio.

historymom-- we are in Texas, in the Woodlands.

bblfraser: I certainly am leaning that way but the kids insist on making their own choices...the nerve! Of course I am keeping my mouth shut since they both have been known to be contraty
