I know we are supposed to be notified “before Christmas,” but does anyone know when BC usually notifies. I’m sure they usually release their decisions at about the same time each year.

I remember one of their brochures said December 15th, but then the confirmation poscard said "by December 25". So maybe they are sending them out on the 15th, or for the 15th. Most schools send out their EA/ED decisions on the 15th, so thats my guess.

Last year D received EA acceptance on 12/13. Good luck to all!

Anyone applying EA to Boston College?

I did.......

Got an email from admissions officer today, confirming some updates I sent her, she said letters were being mailed early next week.

Did your insider tell you when letters were being mailed out? Please tell....I was deferred from William and Mary and am really anxious about BC

Shawn-

Sorry you must think I'm sensitivity challenged! Really sorry about your deferral, I know how you feel, it sux! I just want this whole thing to be over. But if it's any comfort, Boston is a lot more fun than New Hampshire, everyone I know at BC loves it. Are you thinking about going there?

If you guys applied EA, what are your stats? I applied EA, i don't have an impressive SAT score because i came from another country 5 yrs ago and like i didnt speak English at all, so i have a 160 point split btwn.math and verbal. I've made a big progress throughout high school and have taken all honors and AP's. Do you think that i might be deferred because of my SATs, or does it not matter that much?

lol what a stressful day....yeah, i loved BC, i live in RI so its not far off...both Dartmouth and BC were amazing, personally (shh dont tell my parents) i liked BC better...but Dartmouth is the Ivy but yeah i would love to go to BC.

Stats:
760 Verbal 710 Math
700,670, 670 (i hate sat2s)

i think the letters are being mailed early to mid next week

website stated 12/15-12/25

im hopping that their mailed for or on the 15th cuz i deffinetly cant wait till christmas to hear...

Stats are okay,

SAT 1320, SATII writing 800, Math 600. All honors and AP classes. Lots of ECs, NHS, Spanish HS, Varsity Track-captain, club founder and president.

Isn't there some kind of ethical policy with regards to the ivies that if one applies ed to a school they cannot apply ed/ea to another school at the same time?
