Congrats to the others who were admitted. Best of luck to everyone.

My son got it. We’ll post stats on the other thread. Blessings to everyone

I got in!!! JESUS!!!

w00t. waiting on GATech… lol wut

deferred ***. usamo x2 aimex5 aime=12, amc12=142

AdMITted!!! See you guys at CPW!!

accepted. Does anyone know the acceptance rate?

Deferred. Hey, I was expecting a reject, so I’ll take it!

ACCEPTED!

no way this is not real life. i’m sitting in a really really really public place right now and everyone is staring because I can’t stop freaking out.

AHHHHHH

^Proof MIT is bias against the wealthy

@aimehigh
how is that?

@perryian95 AIMEhigh is just mad he didnt get in and is trying to justify it in some way… it doesnt matter though cause mollie is going to delete these comments as soon as she sees them (this is a no comment thread)

I feel like a hypocrite for posting this here… buuuut I think that there aren’t supposed to be any comments on this thread, only results and statistics

Compare his profile to mine … only thing different really is income.

Note that I was coming over here to tell everybody how much more awesome you guys are than any other class on CC since 2007. No chat on the no-chat thread for like five pages! You make my OCD heart sing.

AIMEhigh, surely you don’t think perryian95’s profile is actually exactly the same as yours based on a CC stats post? And surely you wouldn’t propose that a differential result for two selected applicants proves that MIT is biased against a whole group?

@AIMEhigh get over it. I got deferred. So many other amazing kids got deferred. The admissions office has such a ridiculously hard job picking out so few from a group of such talent and diversity. Your spite and immaturity only reflect badly on your personality.

And relax. You’re a smart kid, I’m sure. With the right attitude it doesn’t matter what college you go to. You’ll find success.

Deferred. At least I was accepted to Caltech, my first choice… equally as good as MIT (if not better). Happy Holidays everyone.

I always wondered why MIT’s results thread was always so clean and neat while the ones for other schools sometimes weren’t. Now I know it’s thanks to our esteemed moderator. Thanks mollie!

Honestly, I’m groping for a reason to my deferral - extremely high math olympiad scores, top notch school/grades etc…

The only thing I can think of is the that MIT didnt like the fact that I came from a upper class back ground (as demonstrated by the fact I didn’t apply for fin. aid, went to boarding school, intern at HF, and position algorithm generating income).

Its like you automatically get dinged just because you had more opportunity than others, even though you did the best you possible could have done. Totally unfair.

And I’m less mad than I am confused, as I will probably get into one of HYPS which I would have attended over MIT.
