EA Discussion: Anxious Waiting to Commiserations

decisions.mit.edu is live and says decisions on Saturday 12/15 at 12:15

Argh, I’m going to be on a plane then :stuck_out_tongue: If that’s the actual release date, that plane ride is going to be super super super long.

The next five days are going to be “super super super long”.

Yes that is the date on the decisions website. Probably expect a blog post this afternoon.

what is the link to this blog post?

Blog post isn’t up yet, but if you look in the comments of the Q&A post an adcom says he’s going to write it today. :smiley: And it says here: <a href=“MIT Admissions”>MIT Admissions;

12/15 it is.
Let the countdown commence.

I’m not going to let this wait get to me.

GATech and MIT decisions on the same day, same time. Lord have mercy on my soul.

I’m going to make sure I have fun this week (plus it’s the week before my final exams in the rest of my classes), so yeah.

Not going to let this college admissions process define me or my senior year.

Leggo.

I’m going to be in Canada when I get the news lol. Either my trip will be amazingly awesome or I’m going to spend the entire weekend crying in my hotel room.

let the week of uncomfortable stomachaches / mild nausea begin!

seriously though, guys, try not to take this personally; there are limits to what the admissions committee knows about you, even with so many essays.

Here’s a link to the blog post that was released a few minutes ago:

I’m going to be at a Science Olympiad tournament! I suppose my teammates will be at my side when I find out the decision. That’ll make for an exciting (and nerve-racking) day. :)

I have an audition for the all-state band/orchestra on 12/15. No extra stress or anything

Did anyone else receive an email from MIT today announcing the ea release date? My daughter did.

Yes, I believe all EA applicants did.

I finished my last final today, and have the rest of the week off.

With nothing to do.

But.
Think.
About.
The.
Decision.

For a week.

^ You’re lucky. I’m going to be thinking about the decision all week, AND it’s going to be distracting me from final exam studying. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH it’s so close.

Someone posted this in the blog comments, I’m gonna be staring at it for the next 111 hours. Countdown: http://denniss.redirectme.net:82/mit-counter/

How important are your SAT II scores? Like will a poor score be the deciding factor?

Did anyone else laugh at the youtube video linked to the email MIT sent out?
