@cheerios: Yeah, this school, considering the stress associated with it, seems pretty chill at times. Them sending the video kind of sums up why I wanna go there. XD

I don’t know if I’m gonna make it… [imgur: the simple image sharer](Imgur: The magic of the Internet)

asymptotes!!!

According to Chris LaBounty here[/url">http://mitadmissions.org/blogs/entry/mit-ea-decisions-to-be-posted-saturday-12-15-at-1215-pm-est#comment-732689157"]here, MIT received over 6500 EA applications this year, up from 6008 last year, for an ~8% increase. This was a bit surprising to me considering that Harvard and Princeton EA apps each rose over 10% this year (following their reinstatements last year), but I guess MIT’s strong numbers are a testament to the ever-rising profile and popularity of MIT!

If anybody wants to start the EA results thread and/or discussion thread, I will use my magical mod powers to sticky them.

(Of course, if you guys want to keep this as the decisions discussion thread, that’s great too, and I could sticky this thread!)

Yeah can you sticky this please? And a decisions thread would be awesomeeeee OMG ITS SO CLOSE IVE BEEN STARING AT THE COUNTDOWN FOR 30 HOURS.

i created a results page… can people make sure the template works?

@MD, looks good! Best of luck!

aww, my formatting and such got taken :(

Sorry! I stickied the first one I saw. Want to write a post of wisdom and advice for the ages? I’ll whoosh it into the thread, even though it’s closed. :)

should something be added about it not being a commenting thread, and just posting results? i saw that on last year’s

I can put something in. I hesitated, because I didn’t want to come off as too grumpy. I hate when people chat in no-chat threads.

could you whoosh this part in as a quote from me? (:

@Lanayru now we go down in history!!
its almost like it doesnt matter if we get in
at least thats what ill be telling myself on 12/15 at 12:16

Uhhhhh guys I just filled out the whole results post your stats thing… Oh god… I’m not going to make it. All that’s left is to pick one at the top…

@MDHopeful: yeah, it’ll be amazing to tell people, “Hey, I started the MIT class of '17 thread!” We are now expert formatters It will/would be totally awk to not get in, but the 2016 thread-starter was in the same position, I think. (Or s/he forgot to change the location.)

(And thanks mollie!)

Wow Mollie, your stats are almost insanely similar to mine… only I went the more physics/math route with my courseload, while you seemed to go with more social science/english/language.
Seriously though, my class rank, ECs, and course difficulty are all very similar to yours… this is getting my hopes up. Stop it. XD
EDIT: If those ARE your stats and not just a copypasta from a standard submission or something… still. =P

haha what i feel like my decisions will be
