EA/ED acceptances!

Seniors, early action decisions are already available, post your results

I’m in!!! (Early action)

S was accepted EA, but won't be attending as he was accepted ED at Bentley. He sent in a letter last week withdrawing his application, so he actually hadn't planned on seeing his decision posted. I guess with the holidays, they are behind with the mail.

Congratulations guys!!! I'm in. However, I don't know if I'm going to attend. I'd rather go to Bentley, but that decision doesn't come until the end of January, so I guess I'll just have to wait. Lets post our stats for people considering Babson in the future.

My friend goes to Bentley and he doesn't like it very much. I would suggest Babson over Bentley. I got in last year EA but decided to go to BC instead when I got in there. Good luck all.

Funny, the two people that I know who attend Bentley love it. They wouldn't take Babson over Bentley at all. I guess it depends on the person. I would suggest that you check out each school's program. They do have differing emphasis.

Babson is very entrepreneural in that it encourages students to start a business. Bentley also is entrepreneural, but it's focus is on accounting and finance oriented businesses and jobs. It even has a trading floor. As I said, the culture is different, and you really need to check out both schools.

is it true that Babson is full of preppy private school students?

betterday, It seemed to be our perception. We got the sense that they seem to like a lot of wealthy international students too.

You will find wealthy kids at all private schools across the country. Especially at schools where the price tag is over $40,000 per year.

It is not good to only have wealthy students because it detracts from the socioeconomic diversity which is imperative to having a broad perspective on many issues.

The best schools such as Harvard, Yale and Princeton each have a many students who are from affluent backgrounds, yet each also has many students that are from poorer backgrounds. This interaction between the socioeconomic classes creates a stimulating and interesting learning environment which probably can't be had as easily at a place like Babson.

Dunkaroo. same is with Bentley ;)

I'm aware that Bentley is also a $40,000+ per year private school located in the northeast and therefore the same conditions that apply to Babson in terms of socioeconomic diversity also apply to Bentley.

I guess Bentley didnt take me out of the applicant pool
i got in anyways
but gooo babson!
