Did anybody else get the invitation to the engineering weekend at ND for February 21-22? If anybody has attended, is it beneficial? How many students will be there?

DS’s invitation came in the mail today. It sounds like it is limited to EA acceptees who have indicated an interest in engineering. I would assume this would make it a pretty small group - probably only a couple hundred invited. The challenge of short-notice logistics probably means most will not be able to attend, although at least a few dozen should be expected in order for ND to hold the event.

I am also curious to hear from past attendees. The agenda sounds promising and will give DS a chance to spend a night in a dorm on campus.

I got an invite! (And also a really nice Christmas card and handwritten postcard, which completely made my day.)

I don’t know if I’ll be able to make it or not yet, but I’m going to try. It sounds like a great way to spend the day on campus and get a feel for everything.

I used to help host this thing. I definitely think it’s useful, as it is a college-specific look at the school. As far as I know, each college hosts something similar. They let you take a look at the program you’re going to be participating in and meet some potential classmates. Not a bad idea at all.

Quick question, I received an invite to this program and also one to the Reilly Visitation Weekend, which happen to be back to back. Would going to both help or should I just attend the Reilly Visitation Weekend?

If I were you, I’d just go to reilly weekend because that’s an extra special weekend. Congrats!!
I didn’t get invited to reilly so ill be going to the engineering weekend. Looking forward to meeting some of you!

Ok cool thanks for the help!
