EA Financial Aid decisions? ---- Also Facebook group...

I am an out of state applicant and I got in to Michigan EA. I submitted my financial aid documents after the deadline, closer to when they release decisions, and I haven’t heard anything back from them. Does this mean, I won’t be getting any financial aid, or do they just take their time with making their decisions. Also, I’ve tried to join the Facebook group 5 times, and nobody has accepted me each time. I would really like to see the kinds of people going to Michigan so I want to join the group.

The financial aid package may take another month before coming out. Only some merit scholarships have been announced.

I haven’t heard anything back yet and I submitted FAFSA/CSS in mid-late January. Also haven’t heard anything about scholarships, merit or otherwise, though I did apply to one (Geisinger). Someone on the board said the Engineering Scholarship Committee was going to look at applicants and award money over the next week or two but that’s unofficially sourced.

A couple years ago, my D received the Engineering Scholarship of Honor around mid to late Feb.

Michigan doesn’t make Early Action financial aid awards. You will hear in late March.

I can confirm what excanuck99 said. The financial-aid-office dude said fafsa and css are downloaded near the beginning of March and then a decision on FA is made by the end of March.
