EA guidance!?!?!

I recently e-mailed my ND regional rep. about going EA or RD. She said that I "may be competetive in the EA pool, and that is when I suggest you apply." However, I'm a bit apprehensive with her guidance. ND is my first choice. I really want to go here!!
Here are my current stats:
High School size-800 in my class, middle class suburban and very competitive academically and athletically
Live in Minnesota
ACT: 32 composite (34 math 33 english 31 reading 30 science) Retaking in fall
GPA UW: 3.94
GPA W: 4.12
SAT 2 biology 720 math 2 havent taken yet
School doesn't rank but I am probably top 5%
Lowest grade A-
By senior year will have taken 7 AP's AP Bio (4), AP CalcAB (5), AP CalcBC (5), AP Composition, AP Chemistry, AP Physics B, AP Statistics. I've taken all of my schools hardest classes except for the history classes. I'm also not taking french this year (this scares me, didn't have room in schedule)

Not a legacy or URM or recruited athlete
EC's:
125+ hours of volunteer work (Junior - Senior) through my church and my communities park and rec.
School soccer team 9,10 captain (didn't make the team 11, 12 super competitve)
club soccer 11 years
nordic ski team 10, 11, 12 hopefully Varsity next year
Link Leadership Crew - Advisory Board Officer
Peace Leader (leadership position elected by teachers) - 11
Science Olympiad - last year, team was 2nd in state - 10, 11, 12
Jazz ensemble - 9

I think that sums it up for my EC's.
Should I go EA or RD?
Also, I'm basically done with my essay and I feel it's pretty strong. If someone wants to read it let me know (ND student/Alum would be best).

Thank you guys for all your input!

Do what your rep told you!

She thinks that you will be competitive, so do what she says! but... only if your essay is ready to go

Agreed, if you have everything in order, I would definitely apply EA! Make sure you have a solid essay, as Tim wisely suggested! Good luck!

Definately go for it!

Your rep would know better than anyone... Go for it!

I agree with everyone here. My S was a similiar candidate and asked his rep for her opinion. She advised to apply EA (in the exact way your quote is written!), he did what she said, applied early and he is now a freshman at ND.

I will add that if you could pull a 33 on the ACT when you retake it ,that may really be a huge help. If you look at last years EA stats, there was a big increase in accepted applicants with a 33 and above.

You are an excellent candidate and should do what your rep tells you-she is on your side!

Good Luck!

I am with them. If the rep is telling you to EA, he/she must believe taht you are likely to be admitted. But make sure that you aren't rushed on the essay! That could be the deciding factor. While good scores and EC's are important, the essay is where they truly get to see who you are behind all those numbers and positions.

Go for EA.

Your record looks a lot like DD's and she got in EA last year. She's west coast though; I thought that might have given her a small edge.
