hi, i plan to take the SAT in early October, and then my last SAT II on the November date. If i'm applying to Harvard EA, should I go ahead and designate Harvard as a score recipient when I register for the October date? Should I send all of my other scores too? Or should I wait till I send in the rest of my application materials and then send a full score report with all of my scoes on it? Which is expected of me?

When you take a SAT test, you get 4 free recipients. All your SAT and SAT-II scores are listed. So if you wish to apply to Harvard EA, you can designate Harvard as one of the recipients in October. When you take the SAT-II in November, you will need to designate Harvard again, if H remains one of your choices. Hope it's clear.

For EA, wouldn't it be wise to "Rush" the scores, especially the Nov. ones, since the aps have to be in by Oct 15th, if I recall, and Harvard prefers to have them even by Oct. 1st. While there is an extra expense in doing so, my friends daughter, who worked at the Harvard admissions office, said that the earlier your ap is completed the better, since the adcoms seem to spend more time on those that come in before the deadline when it's less crazy, and they start pulling them by the very beginning of Oct. If you do decide to rush the scores, you cannot do it by designating the school when you take the test. I think you have to do that by phone.

oops, I guess I moved everything up by 2 weeks in my mind. Thanks for clarifying, Marite. Still, from what I heard from this friend, getting the ap complete by rushing the Nov. scores might not be a bad idea.
