EA Notification for the Class of 2018

I just got my acceptance packet today! I’m from Western Mass, just for a reference. My SPIRE account still says “under review” though.

http://aysli.com/UMass.jpg

Funny enough site says accepted, letter arrived but application status still UNDER REVIEW.

G/L all

Accepted! 3.45 and 1820 SAT. From Western mass

My daughter received her packet today accepting her to the University.
Spire account still says under review though when we check application status. But under welcome it says Congratulations on your admission.
Good luck to all…

I received my honors college acceptance packet today in the mail, but my online portal still says “under review.” For reference, I live in Berkshire County (Western MA). Good luck to everyone who hasn’t heard yet!

Accepted. 3.5 gpa SAT: 2080. I will be rejecting the school soon though. From NYC.

Your application for undergraduate admission to UMass Amherst for the Fall 2014 semester was processed by our office on October 24, 2013.

As of December 16, 2013, the status of your application is:
complete Early Action application(click here for more info).

So uh is that weird because eveyone else has theirs “under review” and mine still says complete Early Action? :/

To dsbdude17 - It might not mean anything, but UMass says that they release Early Action decisions from mid-December through mid-January, so you might just be in a later round or something.

Out of curiosity, was anyone else here accepted to the Honors College? If so, how seriously are you considering it?

Spire didn’t change, but I got my acceptance in the mail today in NJ

Accepted to Commonwealth Honors College with $12,000 per year Chancellor’s Scholarship.
Biochem/molecular biology, 4.17W, ~3.87UW GPA, 35 ACT, 2100 SAT.

I applied on 10/2 so I was happy to finally hear back! Good luck and congratulations to those already admitted!

Accepted, oos, 3.95 unweighted, 2190 SAT, 32 ACT, honors college, 12k merit.

Does anybody know what the qualifications were for the Chancellor’s Scholarship? I have 3.92 unweighted GPA and 2160 SAT, but got a $2,000 Dean’s Scholarship

Are you in state or out of state? I think I heard that OOS gets much more merit aid generally. Other than that, I have no clue.

I got accepted today on spire and in the mail and I’m out of state
GPA 3.4
ACT (superscored) 27
SAT: 1790
Got a $6,000 scholarship

Ok - I’m guessing for me it’s because that I’m technically in-state (I live in NY and go to school there, but my permanent address is in MA).

Seems like surrounding towns in Western Mass and OOS have been notified. The rest of MA should know within the next few days. I’m from Central Mass myself.

If it’s the same as last year, OOS max merit award is $12k/year, which basically is equivalent to waiving OOS tuition.

I didn’t get any update on both spire or mail. I don’t know if I’ll get in.
3.8 wgpa, 1600 sat

DD just called to tell me her Spire account shows “accepted.” No mail packet yet. She didn’t know about Honors or merit award. Stats: SAT 2200, GPA 3.9x uw, 4.2x w, rank 3/325. Average California suburban public HS.

Congrats to all those who are getting their acceptances!

I got my acceptance packet today - my spire account hasn’t updated yet, nor does the home page say anything, so I totally wasn’t expecting it anytime soon.

3.94 uw, sat 2020, got accepted into commonswealth, 12k scholarship, from MD
