<p>The deadline for notification for EA at UNCA was Dec 18 but D didn't hear anything. We thought we had everything in on time. Anybody hear from UNCA?</p>
<p>not yet, my son talked to admissions & they said they were sending them out this week.</p>

<p>Went to the mailbox today and discovered a postcard from UNCA saying that they had received D's material and would be notifying us of decisions on the appropriate date (which I think should have been Monday) Material made it in on time for other schools so I'm guessing UNCA is just running a little slow. A positive decision would have been a nice Xmas present but....</p>

<p>We are in central NC..... I think that letters from all the schools are progressing very slowly due to holiday mail loads.... it has been interesting reading some of the boards, seeing how some people in a state receive the letter one day, while others in the same state get the same decision letters several days later... Wish you a positive letter soon.....</p>
<p>thanks! my son got his acceptance today. he's very pleased, but not sure where he'll go. he's kind of concerned about being oos, which seems to be a small percentage of students.</p>
<p>I think that about 1/3 of the UNCA students live on campus, so there should be enough critical mass there for OOS students to feel comfortable. A nice thing about UNCA's early/rolling admission is that you have several months in which to do an overnight visit and check out the culture.</p>
<p>That's true, I think he might do that. Is your daughter planning to attend UNCA?</p>
