EA Notifications

My son just received an email from BC, he was deferred.

We just received the same email and my son was deferred also. I hate the thought of having to wait until the regular decision date. He did apply to others for Early Action so we are hoping to hear good news from one of those!

Good luck to your son!

Son got deferred. Anyone got in?

Also got deferred

hey just curious how they notified you, through your personal email or the agora portal?

I also got deferred. I’m seeing a trend here…

They notified me through personal email

Just called the admissions office… They sent out the deferrals via email and will send out (or you will receive) letters of acceptance/denial in the mail later this week.

Do you know what day we should find out by?
Cant take this stress…

So if I didn’t get an email I can assume I was rejected or accepted?

When did they send the emails?? This is sooooo nerve-wracking…

We are in the west coast. Son checked his email this morning at 7:30.

Does anyone know the percentage of acceptance, deferral and denied?

Overall, out of 2,250 freshmen the acceptance rate is 29%. The EA acceptance rate is 36.3%. Not sure about deferred or denied students.

So Agora is no longer having that tab that says “Pay Enrollment” correct?

I don’t see a “Pay Enrollment” tab anywhere on my Agora account.

So are these replies from early decision or early action applications.

Thanks

Sent from my SGH-T989 using CC

Early Action - I don’t think BC offers an Early Decision program…

I didnt get an email…

My son didn’t get an email either. So we were cautiously optimistic that this might mean he was accepted. However, I called the Admissions Office and asked if all the deferrals were sent by email today and the woman said no. She said letters would be sent out on Friday for acceptance and deferral. I don’t understand the logic of letting some people know they were deferred earlier than others.

To those deferred: Please post your stats :-)
