What was your GPA?

4.3 unweighted on a 4.5 scale. (I'm the friend, btw)
But our school has a really weird grading system in that even on the unweighted scale some people can get above a 4.5, so due to our competitive class I'm ranked about 16/84.

Not a shoo-in but I think your friend has a decent shot.

Notre Dame accepts such a high percentage of legacies, so that double legacy is really a hook. According to The Price of Admission by Daniel Golden, 1 in 4 Notre Dame freshmen is a legacy. So, scores are a little low, but that probably won't matter.

Hey, maybe the ND forum would give you a good/better idea as to your chances...they know their stuff when it comes to ND admissions. :)
Good luck!
