<p>ED does in a sense increase your chance, if you are a qualified student that shows passion/interest. However, if you have below average stats, then ED will not increase your chance because the ED applicant pool is somewhat more competitive compared to the RD applicant pool (because many people just apply to Cornell just for the heck of applying) whereas those who apply ED all want to get into Cornell.</p>
