So I have everything ready to go, but my act is low. I only got a 27.
Should I wait for RD to bring up my ACT and my GPA a little bit or should I just apply EA.
Also, If I get rejected or deferred, am I able to send my ACT or SAT taken in December?
My intended major is Geology. Might change it but that’s it for now.
i think you should apply EA and soon the deadline is tomorrow! your chances will be greater and you can always improve it if you get deferred. @Elroyhhhh
@Elroyhhhh I would recommend applying EA just because it shows the most interest. It becomes more competitive applying in the RD pool because a lot of acceptance have already been given out at that time. If you are to be deferred you can definitely send an ACT/SAT taken in December.
I did not apply ea because I figured I might want a higher score to get some scholarships.
I have a question regarding scholarships. Are you automatically considered to apply for Merit Scholarships if you have good GPA or ACT scores?
@Elroyhhhh - all applicants are automatically considered for partial merit scholarships ($5,000-$32,000/year). ED/EA applicants are apply to apply to the Dean’s Honor Scholarship & Paul Tulane Award (full tuition scholarships).
OK OK Thanks
I submitted my EA application at the end of September. Everything, except the Secondary School Report (counselor’s responsibility) was submitted before the EA deadline. The SSR was marked received by Tulane on 11/19. Does this mean that my application will be knocked out of EA consideration, and into the RD pool?
@PCJazz - as far as I know, your application will still be considered for EA as long as the application itself was submitted by the deadline. If the SSR was received a few days after, you should still be fine!
