EA or RD?

Hi everyone, I’m a rising senior looking to apply to BC. I’d include a full “chance me” profile but I feel it’s not really what I’m searching for (I’m aware I don’t have a great shot). In short, I have a 4.0 W GPA 3.8 UW (My GPA doesn’t really reflect it because my school calculates in a weird way but I’ve taken one of the hardest courseloads possible at my school) and a 1420 SAT. I had straight As junior year in 3 AP and only honors classes. I scored 3 4s on my AP exams (APES, AP Stat, and AP Lang). I have amazing ECs and recommendations, including 2 from alumni (1 being my principal). I’m expecting a rejection from BC, but when would I have a better shot, EA or RD? I have heard from all types of people how one is better for admission than the other but I have never gotten a definitive answer. I don’t have a problem with being deferred and reconsidered but most people I know haven’t gotten in after being deferred.

EA for sure. And you’re background sounds excellent. Prepare a killer application with well thought out and interesting essays that reflect who you are. Get those good recs. And your great ecs count for a lot too.

You have a reasonable chance for sure. Don’t be down. And the vast majority get deferred ed. So don’t sweat that either.
