EA: Pace already sent my decision letter?

Is this normal?! Applied EA on 10/27, went back last week to check thout status of my application and got a message saying they'd made a decision and sent my letter. The website says EA applicants will know around January, so is it even possible for them to have sent a decision already?

The school can do whatever they want to. If you receive the acceptance letter, congratulations.

Same here! I applied on 11/6 and my decision changed yesterday. Hopefully we get our letters this week. Best of luck to you!

dmvncv- thanks! You too! I’m hoping it comes a lot earlier than they say- I emailed admissions to ask if I should be concerned that I hadn’t got mine after a week and they said they were sending them out mid-December(???). Not sure why it says they sent it if they’re telling me they didn’t :frowning:

My d also had the same post in her status. It says “Mailed Shortly”, but perhaps, their idea of shortly is different than ours. Good Luck to all.
“A decision has been made and your official decision letter will be mailed to you shortly.
Once you receive your official decision letter, should you have any questions, please contact us at the numbers listed below.”

Has anyone gotten an acceptance letter yet?

Nope, @allegrotechie‌. Site now says early January.

If you actually log on Pace’s website, it actually says decision made, letter will be sent shortly. (At least for me)

@2019collegeguy‌ yeah, mine’s said that for a month now. Before it said my letter WAS mailed. The admissions site says early Jan, so anything before that is lucky…I wouldn’t expect anything soon though.

@courfeyracs On the facebook class of 2019 group, someone said that they spoke to an admissions rep and they spent all day yesterday mailing our decisions. Crossing my fingers for sometime this week!

I just talked with a rep tday, and he said the same thing. So crossing my fingers too haha.

Hmm my college advisor spoke to them today and they said they were gonna send letters in 8-10 days? That’s strange. I’m located in NYC for reference.

Anyone get a letter yet today?

what’s the site that you checked and saw that you were accepted?

@NJL2019‌ I haven’t gotten anything saying I was accepted, only that they mailed my letter (which turned out to be wrong).

Ayy, just got my acceptance letter in the mail today with the Presidents Scholarship ($16,000 a yr)!

Congrats, @allegrotechie‌!

@allegrotechie‌, mind sharing your gpa, sat/act, etc? I just want to compare if I’ll get some sort of scholarship. Still didn’t get mine. UGH

@2019collegeguy‌ Sure.

GPA: School doesn’t calculate them, but I go to a rigorous private school in New York if that gives you any hints. If I had to guess my GPA, probably around 3.2 or something.

SAT: 1890 - 680CR, 620M, 590W – 10 on the essay

ECs: Really good with work paid work experience and published journalism

Essay: Also very good, both me and my college advisor loved it

Letters: 1 great teacher rec, 1 meh one, phenomenal rec letter from a member of Congress whom I interned for

Overall the weakest point of my application are my grades and my writing score on the SAT with everything else being really solid.

Got my letter today! 20K/Year Scholarship.
