Has anyone gotten the packets yet with the official letters and merit aid?

No, waiting anxiously!

Waiting in the mail as well :D

I got $30,000 merit aid! Am so excited, but that is probably not enough for me to attend though, I have e-mail admissions about it and still waiting to see how things turn out.

Still want to attend Clark!!! :)

Lehuechi I’m intl yes, I got the merit aid decision with my admissions decision through e-mail. The physical acceptance package is coming in the mail.

why havent I received anything?
anw i heard that Clark has been mean these years so probably its financial aid would not be too much.

D got a postcard today saying that someone will be contacting her soon for a Clark Conversation. She was supposed to have one on campus in October but met with an admissions person instead. Still no letter… maybe they’re doing these conversations first? It’s odd, though, because these are not evaluative interviews and have no bearing on admissions.

Yes my D got contacted about a Clark Conversation too, which does seem odd. But maybe they are basing $$ on them…

I asked someone in Admissions, and they said the Conversation has nothing to do with admissions or merit/financial aid. It really is for the student to get a better feel for Clark. They should all (except maybe internationals) have their big letters with merit aid if applicable by the end of this week.

I’m freaking out right now because I was just reading the average stats of the recipients of merit aid at Clark. It says the average SAT was a 1200 (CR+Math)… I got a 1090; My 720 in Writing doesn’t even matter. :C And if I don’t get any merit aid, I don’t think I’ll be able to go to Clark because I really can’t afford it, and that’s a shame because I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the school.

Crossing my fingers until the envelope comes! Hoping that the 110 point difference doesn’t break me!

Good luck to everyone else as well~

yes I work at admissions as Scarlet Key and conversation letters were just an offer for you guys to take up for your own advantage and nothing more.
Just another thing, Clark also has a much larger need-base aid so don’t give your hopes up even if your merit aid is lower than you think

Got my envelope today! 40k scholarship (over 4 years) included. Awesome!

I’m guessing everyone else will get theirs soon, too. I live within a 5 minute drive of the school, so my envelope didn’t have that far to go! :)

D got a Presidential Scholarship! She is thrilled, as are we.

That is awesome 4emb, how much is that worth?

It will probably be 2 months until my acceptance envelope comes in the mail :P

It’s worth $15,000 a year, or $60,000 total. Subject to keeping up grades, of course.

That’s great, everyone seems to be getting merit aid around here :D

Does this mean you won’t get anymore for need-aid?

No, this merit aid is separate from need-based financial aid. You can get that separately if you qualify.

My D just applied RD. Hope there will still be merit aid available for RD applicants! I understand Clark is good with merit aid. She got 2160 on SAT (1450 CR+M), 33 ACT and has about 3.9 gpa.

upstatemom, I would be very surprised if your D didn’t get very good merit aid. She has the stats for it. Good luck!
