EA results

I was really hoping a student would have started this  Has anyone heard anything yet? Last year, people started getting notified on 12/12 which is tomorrow. I was hoping they would have mailed the letters this past Friday, but I don’t think that happened.

reeniaz - we meet again on different forum! My D applied EA to Beloit and we don’t have anything as of today from them. I will post here as soon as we hear the news.

Haha… Hi there! No news today. I saw a twitter post from Beloit yesterday saying that the letters would be going in the mail very soon in order to arrive by 12/15. They must’ve been mailed today at the latest then right?

reeinaz - nothing today in IL. I checked online status page and there is no changes there. D is also waiting for results from K-Zoo and Wooster somewhere around Christmas.

My son also applied to Wooster.

Well, I think those great schools got so much in common. Its like shopping on amazon and getting recommendations for similar products. We didn’t visit Beloit and K-Zoo, but D got several friends at Beloit and they all very happy there. Visited Knox last year and will do overnight in January. Visited Wooster over the summer and will come back in April for overnight when kids are on campus. The transportation to/from Wooster is the toughest part.

reeinaz - we just got a large white envelope with golden seal postmarked Dec 11. I will not know details till after 4 pm when D gets back from school, but I ‘felt’ a thick folder inside and something round the size of a candy. I will report later. You should receive something really soon

Very exciting, psblstnr! My son has applied EA. He’s waiting to hear, too!

D is accepted with 20.5K Presidential scholarship and very personalized letter! Could not be happier! Good luck to reenaiz and plantmom!

Congrats to your D pblstnr!!! Looks like my son will get decisions from both his ED school and his second choice, Beloit, tomorrow. Eeep!!!

my daughter also was accepted with a presidential scholarship. she has applied early action to beloit and case western. this was the first college she has been accepted to. these are exciting times. congrats to your sons and daughters!

Can you find out about the merit scholarships online or just in the letter? I don’t know whether my D gave her home address or her boarding school address. I assume she will be admitted and I’m dying to know how the merit aid worked out. One of my colleagues at the high school where I work has two very sharp children at Beloit. They have both been happy and she feels that they are getting an excellent education.

kristi - congrats! Good luck with Case too!
Apollo - the merit info was in the letter, there is no update at all on my D’s status page. Hope you will hear soon

Big envelope here, but son is at work until 11 PM. This is his first acceptance, so he will be thrilled. We are happy too :-)

Congrats to you all.
Still nothing here. I hope some good news arrives tomorrow. S was rejected from his ED school tonight.

That’s too bad. I hope he likes his other choices. My D hasn’t really expressed a strong desire for any one school. I think she has purposely not gotten attached because she knows that we have to wait and see the bill before she can choose.
We have no news here. I asked DD if she had given her home address or boarding school address. She didn’t know and she won’t be able to get to her p.o.box again until January. Hope the decision was mailed to her home address.

Apollo - she can check what address they have on her application status page. I hope she gave her home address too!!

Luckily my son does like all the schools he applied to and has some nice acceptances already. And he’s still waiting for 6 others. I guess the up side is that he’ll have choices come April 1.

I don’t think she paid attention how to check her status. :(

reeinaz - so sorry about rejection! Maybe its a good thing - being able to compare fin aid packages in March and able to change their 17-18 yrs old minds! He already is accepted to such a great schools!

apollo - call or email your regional rep and they should be able to tell you the result. There is no status change online for my D
