I’m sending SAT October scores to Northeastern, Ohio State, UMass, Miami, UMich and Worcester Poly for Early Action. If I send them today but complete my application before Nov 1, will there be a problem? the October SAT scores won’t reach before Nov 1 but should reach pretty soon afterwards. I’m worried I’ll get rejected straight up because they won’t arrive on time and it makes me wonder if I should just go with regular. Please help ASAP!
You should check the schools’ policies for their testing deadlines. Many schools accept SAT/ACT scores up until December for early applicants, but some require test scores by the Nov 1 deadline. It simply depends on the school.
Northeastern University says on their website that “November test scores will be considered for early action candidates if received by December 1; January test scores for regular decision candidates if received by February 15.”
So for Northeastern, you’d be fine. I think the majority of schools are gracious with their acceptance of standardized scores past the deadline, just be sure to check each school you’re applying to just in case.
Thanks. Seems Umich is the only picky bunch on my list
