Are there any statistics or predictions out on how many students were accepted, deferred, rejected?

From what I’ve heard, 1580 accepted, 1500 deferred, the rest rejected. I forgot the total number of applicants, but it was over 6000 if I recall correctly.

Are you sure that few were deferred? Seems like a very low number.

By the way, I believe the total number of applicants was 6960.

I think what Impero is referencing is a statistic I made up. Usually, EA schools reject approximately the percent that they accept, so I can imagine that anywhere from 1000 to 2000 students were rejected. The rest were deferred. So if I had to estimate, I’d say ~23% accepted, ~20% rejected, and ~55-60% deferred.

whoa, where did ya’ll get the stats (impero)??? I thought chicago accepts like 38% early, but I could be wrong

collegeftw - Chicago accepted 38% early like 2 years ago, before the massive jump in applications that began under the Nondorf regime. Last year’s EA accept rate was 28.4%. You can see the article for LAST year’s EA cycle here:

This year, Chicago received nearly 20% more EA apps than last year. If Chicago accepts roughly the same number of EA kids this year as last year (around 1500-1600 applicants), Chicago’s accept rate for this cycle should be around 22-23%.
