EA thread. Class of 2017

Yep…I met the representative in Egypt. Well, it’s really quiet unconventional because I was organizing the college fair that hosted WPI. So we didn’t really have lots of time to chat, but I kept her booth when she was gone for a snack and I kept on passing by to check if she wanted anything…so yeah
I made sure she remembered me, tho :D

Wait, so do they mail US applicants? No email at all?

Yeah I called them and they said they are only sending them by mail. However if ur going to be away from your home address on the big d-day (that’s what I officially call decision/notification day) then you can call them, give them your name and they can email you your decision letter (:

By the way i also applied EA for WPI but I also applied ED somewhere else so there is a chance I won’t have the option to attend WPI because of acceptance to my ED school (I asked both schools’ admissions offices and they said applying EA while applying ED somewhere else was fine) its a great school though and I wish all of you good luck (:

@ccutrone13 thanks for asking~~~ they will send out the package on 20th or we will receive by 20th?

I think they said you will receive it on the 20th since the admissions office said that applicants will KNOW by the20th. plus based on what other people in this thread said about WPI in past years letting their applicants know of their decision even before the 20th, I’m think its pretty safe to assume you will already know their decision on the 20th.

Not sure how WPI can know when the USPS will deliver your mail, so I suspect they will mail it on a certain day and then ASSUME how long it takes. However, WPI is a little off their delivery dates (if past history holds) for anything outside the northeast. They have sent my daughter several items that show that are out of date by the time she receives them. For instance, an anti alcohol/drug info that arrived after she had left for school. We live on the SoCal. Your best bet would be to call.

This was posted on the WPI Admissions FB page yesterday:
WPI Admissions
Early Action Decision Letters will mail on Monday. Still have about 250 applications that are missing items and aren’t readable…double check your status to be sure one of them isn’t yours!

Thanks for the update. I guess that means we will in fact get our letters on the 20th or before.

Does that mean decisions will also be posted online on Monday?

@AnarchistHuda hopefuly…but i doubt…coz the reason they r gonna be posted(by snail mail in guessing on monday) is so tht they may reach the students by 20th… but i do hope they get posted online on monday aswell!!!

@HaHeHo: (cool username, btw)
I believe all of our decisions are already out…they said they’ll mail them all on Monday, but will they also upload the rest on Monday? Or will they keep uploading them throughout 17th-20th?
I have no idea. But it just seems unfair that a guy living in Worcester gets his decision before me :frowning:
I think I’ll be spending a fair portion of the day refreshing the decision page…

Good luck everyone!

If you have any questions about anything WPI, feel free to ask me, I’m a freshman there now!

@AnarchistHuda - thxxx…fingers crossed!!! Btw, the decisions page is the same one where we can check the application status right?

@mperrone445 - i have a million questions!!! But I’m gonna wait till I get the decision :)

@HaHeHo: I don’t know…I assumed they’d post decisions there, but now I am thinking I’m probably wrong…

So, are admissions out?

@anarchisthuda…i hope u aren’t wrong!!!coz the only other alternative will be personalized emails for everyone or snail mail!!! and from these 2, the latter seems more plausible. And if thts the case, then it will take 3 weeks for me to get it :(

@hxckhaos…are they?

According to last year, they will email all international and mail out the rest to domestic.

OMG!
Still nobody?
Last year, people started getting their decision on the 16th!!!
