<p>Is it smart to do this in order to not have to apply to another safety school that you don't like as much as the one you are applying to? Will this not bode well when colleges look at you during regular decision?</p>
<p>I applied EA to all of my college choices. I didn't choose my colleges based on academics but on other criteria, and because of that, I ended up with five safeties. Here are my thoughts on it:</p>

<li><p>At my reach school, which asked for a list of other colleges I had applied to, I was asked during my interveiw whether I was considering other schools. I explained that I was applying to other schools as back-ups, but that they were my first choice. If you get to interview, you can bring this up.</p></li>
<li><p>I started senior year with the knowledge that I was accepted at a college at which I would be happy. The sooner you know you're in at a college, the quicker you can relax. You can get to know the college better as an accepted student. </p></li>
<li><p>Some schools with several deadlines (some, not all) are easier to get into at earlier deadlines, before they start having to be more selective. I have been told this by colleges with rolling admissions in particular.</p></li>

<p>Besides, how will colleges during RD round know that you've been accepted somewhere EA? You don't have to tell anyone.</p>
<p>Yes, it's a good idea. It makes senior year much easier.</p>

<p>yes johnson that is what im asking because if you apply EA to one school and not to anther school, it would show more interest towards that particular school, right?</p>
<p>No, it won't show anything of the sort. And as I asked previously, how will they know? You don't have to tell the other schools that you applied EA somewhere else.</p>
<p>Unless you specifically tell them, they'll have no idea which other colleges you're applying to. I can't see a rd/ea decision hurting or helping your application (unless the school has a higher acceptance rate for ea).</p>
