<p>I was just curious if anybody had any numbers, or just thoughts, on what the chances are in getting into uchicago from being deferred EA. Other than increasing my grades and SATs by slight margins, i cant imagine them changing their mind, however, i could be wrong. is it likely, or at least possible?</p>
<p>If they didn’t think you had a chance, they would have rejected you. Show that you are passionate about the school (and getting in) and I would say you definitely have shot. Are you involved in any extra-curricular activities that you can become more involved in? Is there a competition that you think you would enjoy participating in? You can update your application if you get a new position, win awards, etc.</p>

<p>fmlboy-- I’m in much the same situation. Well, exactly the same, I’m guessing. I’m really hoping for an acceptance, but I have to admit I’m not extremely optimistic about it. While I’d love to go to UChicago, I don’t know how good my chances are looking these days. 
But, if we don’t get it, it just wasn’t meant to be.</p>
