<p>since i really didnt think i was getting into UGA, i thought i was going to Alabama but now i have no idea how i am going to make a decision! good luck everyone.</p>
<p>Congrats to everyone who was accepted EA! For those whose decision was deferred until the Spring…don’t forget to fill out Part 2 of the application! </p>
<p>Just to clear up one thing that I read when going through the thread and that Snowdog mentioned:</p>
<p>Many schools (University of Georgia included) realize that high schools add additional weight to their GPA. So it’s possible that that a student from one school can have a 6.5 GPA at their particular high school. In saying that, many schools recalculate high school GPAs in order to place all students on a level playing field. So essentially, if you have a 6.5 GPA on your high school transcript, UGA will recalculate that based on your number of As, Bs, Cs, etc. in your core classes. I have a 3.8 W GPA , with many honors and 4 APs, 2000 on the SAT (700 M, 630 CR,670 W)</p>
<p>^ congrats. About the same stats as my child. I really need to stop reading this thread, it’s getting me worked up all over again! See you all in the spring perhaps.</p>
