Applying EA! Who else on CC is applying this year??

Hmm, I’d like to see the stats of this group, I’m definitely applying to Tulane EA next year, it’s one of my top choice. After Emory, I guess it is my top choice. But I’m worried, so it’ll be nice to see what kind of people apply and get accepted or not. I’ve always been surprised that Tulane doesn’t have a larger following on CC, by the way. Sorry for the not really on topic post by the way!

I applied yesterday
I’ve already been accepted to most of LA’s in-state universities with many full-ride scholarships, but I decided to apply to Tulane because it’s sort of a dream of mine.

Me! I’m pretty excited. I just finished my personal statement, so I’ll probably be submitting my application within a few days.

Does anyone know when they will begin sending out admission decisions?

My D applied EA last year on 10/10 and her acceptance was online by 10/24. They did not send out an email or anything, she just happened to check online to make sure that they had all her application materials. I don’t know how long her acceptance had been posted. Then the official letter/scholarship came a week later. So make sure that you keep checking on line.

I applied last Wednesday, and my application was marked as complete sometime this morning. I was pleasantly surprised, because I’d read here on CC that it usually takes the admissions office about 2 or 3 weeks to mark applications as complete. That means that I’ll probably know of their decision within the next two weeks. I’m so nervous!

I’m applying regular decision.

My school hasn’t sent in the profile yet or my transcripts, but I’m hoping to find out soon! So EXCITED!

I gave my GC the letter requesting for her to send in my transcript and school report on last Friday, and she said she’d mail everything in. I was so shocked when I saw that Tulane had received everything and marked it as complete already, haha. I hope everything else goes smoothly for you, good luck!

You too! Let me know what happens with you! Best of luck to you and everyone applying to Tulane EA! :)

I just applied a few minutes ago.

Application was marked complete about a week ago. I’ll keep everyone updated on when I receive a decision!

Me! My application status changed to complete on Friday! Agh, I’m so nervous! Does anybody know how long it usually takes?

So, I decided I’m applying EA. Jeez! You guys already sent your apps in?? I’m only like halfway done with mine! It’s not due for over a month!

Applying sooner gives you a better chance at getting admitted, especially since it demonstrates that you’re really interested in the school.

Shouldn’t applying early action express interest in the school? Why should one apply early to applying early?

The earlier you apply the earlier you hear back. While Tulane isn’t officially a rolling admissions school, they also don’t wait to tell strong candidates they are accepted. So while it might not make much difference in your chances if you apply by October 1 or November 15, you will get a decision a lot sooner.

I turned in my app a few weeks ago but I have to send in my transcript and test scores! So nervous! :)

Just in from a Tulane presentation night and I am STRONGLY encouraging my D to apply EA, I would LOVE her to go to Tulane!!
