When do we hear from UConn EA?

early february

Depending on when you apply is when you hear. I heard last year in Dec. after applying in mid. november. It all depends on when they received your app. Good luck

i applied in october and still have not heard yet...the admissions office said feb. for ea...what do you think?

lucky..i applied mid-end october and i'm still waiting..only a few people have heard so far- and those are the kids who've been selected for the honors program

A kid at my school (#1 in class) applied in early November and received his acceptance a few days ago (in state).

Woo got accepted today! Applied in mid-October.

jess- are you in the honors program? i'm just wondering when i can expect my sister to hear (definitely not honors- its her reach school but we'd love to see her there)

congrats to those who got accepted- uconn is such a great school and you will have so many opportunities as a student and as an alum. the honors program is really strong, with students of very high caliber. Go Huskies!

Huskem55, I called admissions and they told me early Feb. Those that are hearing now are mainly students who were nominated by their school (I assume for honors or scholarship-she did not say and I am from oos, so I have no clue).

As a graduate I would love to ask you a few Qs. Hope you don't mind. How were the large 101 classes for you? How are their support services (writing lab, tutors)? What are the dorms like? We toured, but only saw a model, not a real freshman dorm? Is it similar?

northeastmom- i actually didnt go to uconn, but it was down to the wire (i literally made the decision the day before my deposit was due) between uconn honors and connecticut college. conn gave me a financial aid package that i couldnt refuse, so i went there. however, i have tremendous pride in my state university, obviously am a uconn fanatic (hence the screenname- Husky+Emily=huskem), and read the student newspaper online often. also one of my top choices for my phd program.

i can tell you though that i know SO many people who went to uconn, and not one person didnt love it. they have great jobs now and there is a fantastic alumni network.

i havent seen the dorms since i toured 6 years ago, but i remember that most of the freshmen dorms were all being renovated. my sister toured earlier this fall, and she was impressed by the dorms, dining halls, and overall facilities. my parents also noted that the improvements in the buildings since the last time they toured the campus with me.

sorry for the long response to a short question!

huskem55 thanks. The campus is really very new looking with lots of new buildings.

huskem - Yes, I did get into the honors program.
