@maby56 According to the admissions blog cited above, early decisions will start showing up on status page next Friday, November 17!!
woah! Thanks
Hi, I was wondering what my chances of getting accepted into UGA are? I’m thinking of applying for this year’s Early Action Admission. GPA (UGA Calculated): 4.18
SAT Score: 1450
Residency: in-state ga
Course Rigor: IB Diploma Student, and will have 19 AP/IB courses…
You should get in IMHO
Note: I already applied early action. I’m waiting for decisions to come out next Friday. I’m still a little tensed about my chances.
Hi, I applied EA and would love to hear my chances for acceptance. I am an OOS student from a rural public school.
ACT: 31 superscore
High school GPA: UW- 3.98 W-4.189
UGA recalculated GPA: 4.2
Rank: 2/312
of APs: 7 by the time that I have graduated
You are above all the averages for last year’s class. I like your chances.
@1111bbbb My ACT English was a 35 while my ACT math was a 29. My recalculated UGA gpa is a 4.25.
@wakeprospect - you are in very good shape in my opinion. Of course, you will have to change your name if you end up at UGA
Thank you. And just in case you were wondering, my name has reference to do with the county I reside in and not the university haha.
I applied EA and I am wondering what my chances are for early action. I am an in state student and attend a private school that is very strong academically
UW GPA: 3.87/ W: 4.19 (UGA GPA: 4.03)
ACT Composite: 28 (Superscore 29) - 30 English and 30 Math
AP classes: 5 by end of senior year (10th: AP European History, 11th: AP US History, AP Physics 1, 12th: AP Calculus, and AP Microeconomics), only 1 AP was really offered my first two years of HS, also taking Dual Enrollment English this year
Also have several Honors classes
@Dawgs28 I would say a 60% chance partly due to your lower ACT score and class rigor. The average ap/ib courses for EA is 8-9 and the average ACT score is 31.
@Dawgs28 - I agree with @GoDawgs123. One positive thing for you is that your UGA ACT of 30 (as University of Georgia only considers Math and English) is actually higher than your superscored ACT of 29. Are you OOS or a Georgia res?
@1111bbbb In state resident
@Dawgs28 great - that helps
I applied EA and I am wondering what are my chances for early action. I am an OOS student but attend a college prep school.
UW GPA: 3.85/ W: 4.55 with an UGA GPA of 4.06
ACT Composite: 29 with 30 Math and 30 English
AP Classes: 6 by senior year
Junior year AP’s (received A’s in both classes): APUSH (3) and AP Psych (3)
Senior Year: AP government, AP Lit, Ap Human geo, and AP Calc AB
I have a positive grade trend in my transcript, 2 B’s freshman year, 1 B sophomore year, 0 B’s junior year
Took all AP’s and honors last year and this year
Took 2 Dual Enrollment English courses
Took all the AP’s available at my school and I am taking an extra class this year outside of my school day
@madison2000 - i think you have a very good chance EA. Your University of Georgia ACT is just below last year’s average of 31 and your GPA is in the ballpark. Would have been good to have a few more 1-2 APs prior to senior year. Also, AP Psych is not one of the tough AP Sciences like AP Chem, AP Physics, or AP Bio. But, as you said, You took all the AP classes available at your school.
Hey guys what would be my chances with:
3.72 UW GPA
1380 SAT
28 ACT (30 Superscore)
Rank: 87/602
12 APs by graduation (7 so far)
Multiple EC’s and 200+ hours of Community Service
AP Scholar with Distinction
Biggest thing I have going for me i think is that I am a founder of a fully established non profit dog rescue and created the website from scratch.
hi! does anyone know if the act scores will be released tonight or tomorrow night?
@admissionsplease - what did you get on the math and English sections of the ACT? Are you in-state or OOS? Are you applying EA or RD? What is your University of Georgia calculated GPA?
