Sorry I am very new to the college admissions process- is it easier to get in if you apply EA and what are the advantages of doing it? do most schools accept EA and is it essentially just applying really early?

EA/ED programs are sometimes binding depending on the school. Each school has a different policy. For example, I’m applying to The University of Maryland, College Park’s Early Decision program because it’s not binding, and there is a higher chance of scholarships. Other schools are binding (if you get in you have to withdraw all your other applications an go to that school). Research the schools you want to go to about their programs and determine how much you want to go there before choosing if you want to EA/ED or just go RD.
