EA vs. RD

I read somewhere that people applying RD have smaller chances of being accepted than people applying EA. To what extent is this true? I don't know if that's relevant to the question, but I'm british and I'm planning to re-take my SAT I and apply to Yale and some non-ivy schools...

For Yale, it makes no difference. If you’re still planning on taking the SAT1 in order to better your application, then you should absolutely do that and apply RD. A better application later is much more important than a weaker one early.

It really depends on the school. But in any case, it should not have lower chance for EA with the same credential. However, for some students, it may be better to boost the score and GPA and try RD. If you are at or above the admission average already, you should try EA as you do not really need to improve GPA or scores.
