<p>Correct. Since classes are in sessions there are not enough accommodations in the dorms during welcome days (but if they do summer orientation like they have in the past, you will get an opportunitity to stay in the dorms then - including parents if they choose, although parents stayed in the nicer West Village housing).</p>

<p>If you have never visited NEU you may find the welcome day fairly informative; at the session we attended, they provided various info sessions and a campus tour as well as an address by the college dean (if you have already done a campus tour you may find some of the info a little repetitive, and much of it will also be covered again during the summer orientation). S is in his second yr at NEU; when he was accepted 2 yrs ago he had never visited the campus before so he found the welcome day very helpful before deciding to attend.</p>
