EAers: Anyone else feel like this?

I’m having SUCH a hard time motivating myself to do the other apps since 1) I like the school I got into a lot and 2) I really don’t think one of the two other schools I’m applying to (Yale) will accept me. Anyone else feel the same way?

here here!

I feel exactly the same way.

Me tooo. I hate writing the other essays. I'm like.. who cares. WOuld I really reject Harvard I don't know. Can anyone help me with this. I dont want to sound haughty or anything and I hope no one hates me for asking this, but I honestly want to ask for advice. So I was accepted EA to Harvard. I paid for Brown a few months ago so I'm still applying. BUt I don't know if I should apply to Yale and Princeton. I hear that Princeton is pretty generous with money and Yale people are really happy with Yale. I want to go to Harvard, but I don't want to burden my family with paying for college. I'm kind of interested in Yale, but no one from my school has ever gotten into Harvard College, and I want to be the first to go. I don't know.. SO many things. Should I just forget about applying to Yale and Princeton and just go to Harvard. And I'm not even sure if I will get accepted. I'm not that great of an applicant, so eh. I don't know. I don't want to live regretting that I didn't apply to see. But then it's more money. I don't know. Any help? =]

I'd still apply other places. I've heard of some people who weren't entirely happy at Harvard, so it's possible that you could visit and be disappointed.

What is your problem haiiiii? You got accepted to Harvard. People like me do not have the opportunity you have at attending the best university in the US and maybe world. And honestly, if you cannot see the advantages of attending a university such as Harvard, then you do not deserve to go there.

The financial aid packages will not be significantly different amongst Yale, Princeton, and Harvard. I know Princeton is the most generous, but Harvard and Yale have generous aid packages also. I think the max difference would be perhaps one or two thousand dollars a year. Remember these schools really do not want to get into a bargaining war w/ eachother, especially since all three are IVY. So if you REALLY REALLY like Harvard, I think you should stick with it.

"no one from my school has ever gotten into Harvard College, and I want to be the first to go"

This is really a wrong way to choose your school...
Maybe this article will motivate you to keep your other options:

Congrats guys!!! But seriously, stop complaining about getting into Harvard and Stanford. It's really nauseating. I would just apply to all the other ivies for the hell of it to see what the aid is like, but if you are 99% sure you'll go to H, then don't waste their time.

Augh. These are my sentiments exactly. Ever since I first got in, those apps on my desk that are just waiting to be finished are never even touched. I just can't bring myself to do them. I was going to apply to three more places, but as of right now it looks like I'm only going to get one of them done in time.

I decided christmas day last year not to send in my Dartmouth app after getting into stanford early. I haven't regretted it yet. :-)

For those of us that DIDN'T get in early...it's crunch time and we don't have a choice.
