Eagle Project for college

Hi everyone,

I'm a boy scout and am currently planning my eagle project. I'm trying to finish and get my eagle before I apply to colleges but if I don't finish by application time will it help to write that I am working towards my eagle? If i finish after I apply, is there anyway I can let the colleges know i've gotten my eagle? Thoughts?

Thanks

yes and yes, email them if you receive it.

DS put down Eagle Scout candidate when he applied to college four years ago. He was accepted to all his schools and made Eagle a couple months after he submitted his applications. Good luck to you.

@bravo49, @funfatdaddy‌, @guineagirl96‌ I’m in the same boat. I am looking at a December Eagle Project Completion. My dream school has an ED Acceptance of 25% and RD Acceptance of 12.2%, is it better to apply ED with the tentative Eagle rank and notify them when I get it or wait until RD when I will hopefully have it.

Do you need to compare FA offers? If so then don’t apply ED. If you are sure you can afford the school then go ahead with ED and use the wording from @funfatdaddy‌
