I’m thinking of writing about my becoming an Eagle Scout as the “accomplishment or event…that marked your transition from childhood to adulthood.” Is this a good idea? Is it too cliche?
It is a fine idea…but like you said, Adcoms may have read many of them so try to make yours interesting and different.
Can you bring the story to life? Will your essay enable adcoms to learn what makes you special and want you at their school?
I think it sounds interesting…just make sure that it’s an essay that could only be about you…in other words, unique to your specific Eagle experience
