I just earned ny eagle scout rank. I was just wondering how this is viewed for college acceptance as I know that some eagle scouts are not quite as involved as I am in their troops.

I personally did not know that high school students commonly assisted or took part in research. My sat and gpa are on par with top universities (2250 and 4.0 uw) but I feel that I have missed out on becoming a superb enough athlete, a talented enough artist or conducted my own educational acheivements in such a matter that I was told not to worry about because my intelligence would ensure my acceptance to a great college. After reading some of the more amazing biographies on this site I feel that my extracurriculars in particular do not shine brightly enough when world class researchers and athletes are my competition.
