Eagle Scout

I am and know that being an Eagle Scout will help your chances of getting into things in life and was wondering how much it affected college admissions at Ivy league or other well known schools. If you could just respond if you know from personal experience or from someone else it will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Being an Eagle Scout is a nice EC that represents hard work and a longtime commitment and consequently, it can be a big boost at many colleges.

While there certainly are Eagle Scouts who get into Ivies, the field of applicants to Ivies is so outstanding, that in general, if that's your best EC, it won't make you stand out in the admissions pool. The Eagle Scout whom I know who was accepted to an Ivy also was nationally ranked in a different EC, state ranked in another EC and was a legacy.

thanks
i also have others such as key club gavel club beta club national honor society swim team maybe a few other sports and also volunteered at hospital over summer

Eagle right here! Will travel to Haiti to follow up on my project !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
