I am really interested in majoring in actuarial science, but Wharton is very hard to get into.
Should I go as a math major and if I make it, I can switch majors to actuarial science in Wharton?

If you can’t make it into Wharton in the first place, you won’t be good enough to transfer in. You can always get a minor in actuarial science.

Maintain a 3.8 after frosh year and you can transfer into Wharton after your first year. So yeah if you think you can maintain a 3.8 in whatever major/school you apply for.

Math and science aren’t easy to make the GPA cut. Easier to take one of the social studies and get in.
