Earlier than December 15th!?!

@BLJ
Yeah, mine is Washington State. That school is in the middle of nowhere and filled with oversized 12 year olds. I think citylove may be right. I’ll just call them and tell them I won’t be enrolling so they can give the money to someone else. I would rather go to the University of Washington. It’s ranked 42, I think. But NU is the dream school.

@citylove
I totally know what you mean about an extreme reaction. I have an iPhone so everytime I get an email, I get excited and nervous. Then it ends up coming from like other colleges that I’ve neve heard of. But 6:30 est, I’m going to this induction ceremony for NHS then a dinner afterwards. My school makes a really big deal out of it. I can so see myself hyperventilating on stage while people are getting inucted. So I’m going to leave my phone in my car until all of that is over. But then I have a feeling I’ll get obsessive and break in somewhere with Internet access or borrow someone elses phone or something.

I definitely started feeling the anticipation today, but I’m not dreaming yet. Yet.

I have to keep reminding myself not to dream…i just want to finally be able to wear my nu sweatshirt to school and say “yeah! I was accepted! I can’t wait to go there next year!”

@madridiana: I know what you mean! I have an NU hoodie and a t-shirt that I haven’t worn for the last month, just so I can bust them out if I get in. If I’m rejected, I have no idea what I’ll do with them. Maybe a funeral…

Ha yeah I had a dream last night about NU too. It’s not healthy. And I have work tomorrow and Tuesday right after school so I have to check on my phone and won’t be able to see the result till later. And EVERYBODY keeps asking me if I know yet. :/

@SAY: Did your child apply through Quest Bridge? Because no one else has heard anything. And I live in one of the first suburbs south of Chicago so I mean, if they sent out the mail, already, I would have gotten it by now. I think they sent it Friday/Saturday and it’ll come Monday or Tuesday if I haven’t gotten anything by now.

I am so un-motivated to do my homework or go to school tomorrow.

Oh and one more thing:
The mail here comes right around 3PM. Idk when you guys get it (seeing as we are from all over). But I assume that it would get to my house faster than someone in Alaska? Because I’m curious if they send it all as priority so it gets there on the same day at everyone’s house, or if it might take till the 15th if you live in Alaska.

Isn’t it all over email?

We have to do something to pass the time.

Cue: [YouTube - SNL Andy Sandberg(shy ronnie) featuring Rihanna song](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qn9IJ70Vixk)

yeah. They’ll be e-mailing decsions followed by an official letter through the mail.

I would assume that we will also be getting an official letter and acceptance information, or rejection information.
I’ve spent my time since Friday doing nothing but watching Law and Order and sitting in front of my computer. This is unhealthy.

So from what I’ve been reading, we will know for sure by 8PM Monday via e-mail? I don’t think I’ve ever been this anxious–and this has been the absolute longest weekend of my life.

Yeah. Tomorrow sounds extremely probable. But so did Friday. And yesterday.

@ mooble! haha same! all i’ve done this weekend is check my e-mail every half hour, watch movies, and eat my feelings. Haven’t touched my ap english homework…too nervous!

hahahaha cclolzftw!!

ya im goin crazy. im getting rejection dreams…this is not healthy

I’ve been stalking this thread for awhile now and I thought it was time for me to join in on the madness since my friends refuse to speak to me until after I know where I’m going to college.

So to pass time and to get some insight: if accepted to Northwestern, Mac or PC?

Are you kidding me? I don’t even want to see your face on the Evanston campus if you answer PC.

hackintosh ftmf’inw

PC…mac’s drive me insane

I have a feeling I’m going to offend someone here, but, in all honesty, I view Mac users the same way I do tree huggers, vegans, and vaccine skeptics. That and I’ve been using PC since I was 3 so it’s a loyalty thing to some extent.

What’s the probability we’ll hear today at 7pm EST? Looking at the past release dates, this would be the first time they would send it on December 14 if they don’t send it today. Don’t they set their server to send them out at a certain time and day? I mean, it’s not like they send these out individually…

HAHA. I’m with ross25.

I don’t know but that’s a good argument. But isn’t there some kind of unspoken rule that they don’t work Sundays?

The only reason someone should ever use a PC is for gaming and that very designation unleashes a whole new critical question: Why the hell are you still using a computer for video games?

I was a PC user up until about three years ago, when I became heavily involved in visual design. I own a MacBook Pro and a Dell Mini 10v running Leopard. It’s not even a matter of hardware; Mac OS X ****s bytes on any Windows system any day. The Mac stereotype generally proves true, but only because those hipster-esque stereotypes are the same people who design the newspaper you ready everyday, mix the tracks for your favorite rapper, and edit the film you just saw last night at the cinema.
