Earliest College Class

Are there 4 AM classes? What about 6:30 AM?

Are you insane? Nobody would pay for a 4 am class unless they were completely nocturnal.

My school had 8 am’s, but Purdue had 7:30

Generally they start earliest around 8 am.

I’ve heard of a bird-watching course that started at dawn. The start time changed slightly every day as the days got longer and started earlier.

The earliest class I’ve ever heard of is 8 AM, but the local Community College has classes that start at 7 or 7:30 AM. Definitely nobody would ever take a 4 AM class. LOL.

My school’s earliest class start at 7:45. Most people would not attend classes that start earlier than that.

But in England, my father once had a class that start at 6a every morning. And that is Cambridge back in the 1970s.

For any normal class (something where you’re in a classroom and there’s a lecturer) the earliest where I go is 8am. If a class is earlier than that there’s a reason. Usually you can sign up for schedules with classes no earlier than 9am though with no problem.

My earliest class started at 8AM. My friend had one that start at 7:15. It was pre-nursing and the teacher said it showed who wanted it that most would come.

My school has 7:30 calculus sections and 8 a.m. gym classes (only at that time, and the class is required for everyone).

I’ve heard of experimental midnight classes, but those are pretty unusual.

Ice, you are on to something!

I hope you realize that many people don’t pay for college; instead, they have scholarships.

My school has a 6:30 PE class (military conditioning.) Other than that, our earliest classes are 7:30.

NCAA D 1 Cross country/track practice 6am…

Jesuis. Why make your name “I am” you could’ve added something cool to the end.

I signed up for an elective dairy class back in spring quarter that required me to be at the milking parlor (there were two different labs–one that deals with milking, and the other that deals with management) at 5am every Saturday.

@slackey93: I think I was going for a “Je pense donc je suis” sort of thing.

@sopranokitty: Wow, I commend you.

depends on college/university. most earliest will be around 7-8 am

Naval Science “lab” (really drill) on Fridays at 7am. No thirsty thursdays for me!

We don’t even have that many 8 AMs. I certainly hope I never get any. The earliest class I have this upcoming semester is 9:30. I do have a class that ends at 5:30 PM on Mondays only, that’ll be hard to adjust to.
