early acceptance, multicultural weekend

Anyone else get an early acceptance to WashU and invite to the Multicultural Weekend? Anyone going to it? I just wanted to meet others that were going. :)

I think I'm going, but I haven't gotten an invite yet...

what are the dates again?

April 17th to April 19th

wait isn't it a weekend? I thought it was more like 19th-22nd, but I could be wrong...

It starts on Thursday, according to the sheet, but they still cal it a weekend though...well, at least I miss school ;)

edit: oh wow, i read the dates wrong, it is the 19th to 22nd lol

Oh okay, so it is April 19th to 22nd. (19th is a Thursday)

Ya I know, oh darn...I have to miss school too ;)

What exactly is it?

hey, is this "early acceptance" like a likely letter sort of dealio? And excuse the phrasing but does multicultural means like qualified minority students (blacks/hispanic)? Just asking, still waiting on my letter.

if you are going to the weekend, does it mean that we have to go to WashU for the next four years

just got my letter today :)

i'll see you guys there

@power@ranger@

of course not! the fact that the weekend is a little more than a week ahead of the May 1 deadline makes me believe this is a way for WashU to try to pursuade you to choose them ;)

and lays189, it's an actual acceptance ("early acceptance to WashU" is in the letter).

haha it's not just for "blacks/hispanics" .. i just got mine today and i'm asian.

I was invited to both the multicultural weekend and the olin spotlight weekend. While I'm thrilled to get an early acceptance, I'm still wondering: are they seriously willing to pay for both? Is it even worth going to both?

IS this weekend only for ED students? I applied regular decision and didn't even get an admit or deny letter yet.

i'm not sure, but all the ppl who have gotten in so far have been RD

I got one too!

I'm really excited.

I'm in (and Asian). It was a pleasant surprise to get this in the mail today.

my sister went to this in 2001 and it's what sealed the deal for her. she wasn't even really considering washu until multicultural weekend, but i guess she had a really good time. congrats to those that heard!!

Just looked at my mail, and I received one, too!!! I will be going to multicultural weekend, hope to see you all there!

Hey, got the letter in the mail today, really excited!

Congrats to those others who have too.
