Does anyone know who (or what) Seton Hall was named for? One of our family members asked and even after reading the website do not know. Thanks.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, I’d assume. It was her feast day yesterday incidentally.

My son received his acceptance letter to Seton Hall and was wondering if anyone has any input about the school. Both pros and cons would be appreciated. We enjoyed our campus visit a little worriedabout the surrounings and life on campus. You know a mom’s worry.

Well I’m the dad of a senior girl who has had a very good four years at SHU.

Yes, the adjacent community(Newark) is not the greatest.

However, South Orange itself is a very pretty, quiet little town, kind of like a small town in Connecticut such as Darien or Fairfield.

The school is enclosed by a fence…it is very safe in my opinion. There is a shuttle service, security people, etc.

There are plenty of on-campus activities and the housing staff is very helpful to the students.

If you have any other questions post here or PM me.
